B&B Brughia

B&B Brughia is a so-called ‘width house’ with a 19th century neo style facade, six bays and two floors under a gable roof and a core that could go back to the 15th or 16th century.

The Beenhouwerstraat (Butcherstreet) is the extension of the Wulfhagestraat and went outside the ramparts. In 1299 it was described for the first time as the ‘vicus carnificum’ or the street of the butchers, because they owed many properties there until the 18th century.
